Empowering Youth & Families

June 1, Monday – Coming Home from Prison – The Homecoming

Ann Edenfield Sweet will discuss the many issues related to a loved one coming home from jail or prison. This program is designed for family members, as well as those who are home from prison. It took Ann four years to write “The Homecoming” chapter in her book, Family Arrested: How to Survive the Incarceration of a Loved One. What fears do you have? How will you celebrate his/her homecoming? Learn about being an honored guest. If you’ve experience a “Homecoming”, please come and share your experience too. Volunteers are needed and most welcome.

If you want a little exercise before the meeting, come about 5:15 and we’ll do some walking in the neighborhood before dinner.

The focus of Wings for L.I.F.E. is to promote and strengthen healthy family relationships and communication. Each night we’ll share a delicious dinner together, learn something new, and have fun! Don’t miss it. High Noon Restaurant & Saloon has generously offered to provide dinner each month. Domino’s Pizza continues to be a monthly sponsor too, along with Cross of Hope Lutheran Koinonia Group, and we are always looking for new dinner sponsors.

Wings is also collaborating with New Heart, Inc. We have started walking groups before Wings for L.I.F.E., provide healthy and nutritious hints and cooking ideas, and offer a new reading club for kids ages 6 – 12! Wings for L.I.F.E. is expanding and growing and we hope that YOU will join us!

PLUS – Free dinner, Door Prizes, and crafts and reading club for kids.

PLEASE call Ann at 291-6412 so we can plan accordingly

and make sure we have enough food.

Bring the WHOLE family!

Volunteers of all ages are needed!
